Danny Descalzo

Bio
Danny Descalzo is an experienced and respected
drummer and percussionist in the San Francisco Bay Area.

His recording and performance credits are extensive.  Danny has been awarded two Gold records and one Platinum record for his studio work with world-renowned Norteno artists Los Tigres Del Norte.

He has also received a Latin Grammy for his work on the album "Herencia de Familia."  Danny has performed/ recorded with are some of the finest artists in the area, including:  Atlantic Recording Artist Baxter Robertson, Curb Records Artists Cactus Choir, Max Records Artist Mick Overman, Matt Nathanson, Robert Temple, and Moe's Kitchen to name a few.  He has also been a member of the acclaimed Garcia Bros. Band for over 20 years.

He has also been a member of  The Jesse Charles Band, outstanding vocal group
Triple Play and  local legends Daddy-O.

Danny has studied with Pete Magadini and
Walfredo Reyes, Jr.

Danny has  been teaching privately for over 15 years and brings passion and knowledge to his practice.  He has a strong sense of the skills required in the "real world" to help his students achieve his/her goals. 

He is an endorsed member of the Vic Firth Education Team, and a highly rated member of the Teach Street  Network. www.teachstreet.com

 Danny's teaching  practice has  also been endorsed by  world class drummer and percussionist Walfredo Reyes, Jr. and is on the Board of Directors of the California
Schools and Day Care Association LLC.
